Question
What are the different types of electric charge? How is this different from "gravitational charge" (what you call mass)? When you bring two like electric charges close to each other, do they attract, repel, or ignore each other? How is this different from two masses experiencing gravitation? When you bring two opposing electric charges together, how do they interact with one another (attract, repel, or ignore)? Which force is stronger, the electric force or the gravitational force? Explain how you can tell. Explain why people's hair stands up on edge when they become statically charged.Explanation / Answer
1. Electric charge can be of two types, one is positive charge and another is negative charge. It is different from mass as two masses will always attract each other while like charges will repel each other and unlike charges attract each other. And a mass feels force in gravitational field while a charge feels force in electric field.
