Question
Answer the following questions using information obtained from the textbook, or lab manual The responses will be collected at the beginning of pact ration and checked at the start of your lab section for credit. Failure to complete all answers or turning in after the first free minutes of recitation may result in zero or conclusion from participating in the lab Two reactants, A and B are mixed together and the resulting manual temperature decreases as the reaction proceeds in produce the products C and D. Is this reaction exothermic or endothermic? Explain. Suppose the balanced chemical reaction for the reaction in question (1) is 2A + 3B-C + 2D. If the heat energy absorbed or released by this reaction is [75 k], what is the magnitude heat energy absorbed or released per mole of reactant B? Does the mass of salt used affect the amount of heat absorbed or released? Explain. List at least three things that should be considered in choosing the "best" hot pack. Define what you mean by "best."Explanation / Answer
1. As reaction proceeds temperature decreases that means reaction is endothermic reaction.
mainly in these reaction the system takes energy from the surroundings to proceed reaction so energy usually transferred as heat energy causing reaction mixture and the surroundings to get colder due to that phenemenon the products temperature is decreases, this becomes opposite for the case of exothermic reaction temperature of the products will increase as reaction proceeds.
so this reaction is endothermic.
