e. Calculate the volume of dry oxygen at STP?
f. How many moles of oxygen gas do you have at STP?
g. How does the value for moles of oxygen calculated in Question 6 differ from the predicted value you calculated in question 2?

(1) The balanced equation is ,
2 H2O2 ---------------> 2 H2O + O2

Moles of O2 = PV/RT
= (753.8/760) x 0.038 L / 0.082 x 298.15 K
= 1.54x10-3 moles
So, moles of H2O2 required == 2 x moles of O2
= 2 x 1.54x10-3 moles
= 3.08 x 10-3 moles
Initial moles of H2O2 = (4.12/34) == 0.121 moles
So 0.121 moles per 100 mL
Volume of H2O2 cocn solution required == (3.08 x 10-3 moles /0.121 ) x 100
= 2.54 mL
(3) Pressure of O2 = 760 mm Hg - 23.8 mm Hg == 736.2 mm Hg
(d) Volume of dry O2 =( (736.2 mm Hg) / 760 mm Hg ) x 36.5 mL == 35.4 mL
