2Honey is composed of 76% sugars , 18% water and the remaining 6% other ingredients. Among sugars fructose is the major component (38-55%). Glucose is up to 31% and the remaining include sucrose ,maltose and other complex carbohydrates.

3. Corn syrup is essentially 100% glucose . HFCS is derived from corn starch. To make HFCS, enzymes are added to corn syrup to convert some of the glucose molecules into another simplest sugar unit - fructose. Thus HFCS is high in fructose compared to corn syrup that contains 100% glucose. Thereby from the composition of corn syrup we can determine whether it contain HFCS or not.
