Explanation / Answer

Entropy is the measure of disorderness of the system.

More is the disordeness more is the entropy.

(d)

F2 has higher entropy than Br2

(g) NaNO3 (aq.) Has higher entropy than NaNO3 (s)

Because, in aqueous medium it splits as,

NaNO3 (aq.) ------------> Na+ (aq.) + NO3- (aq.)
ANd the ions in the solution randomly migrate in all the directions , hence has more disorder, and thus has more entropy.

But in solid state ther is no movement of particles from one place to other. hence less disorder, less entropy.

(h)

CH4 has more entropy than CH3CH3.

Because CH4 has less molar mass than CH3CH3, and hence has higher kinetic energy which makes it more disorder.

(i)

Br2 (g) has more entropy than Br2 (l)

Because, the gaseous molecules move more disorderly than that of liquid molecules and hence Br2 gas has more entropy.

(j)

F2 gas has more entropy than Br2 gas. Because of smaller molar mass of F2, it has more disorderness than that of Br2 and hence F2 has more entropy.

(k)

PCl3 (g) has more entropy than that of PCl5,

Because of smaller molar mass of PCl3.

(l)

CH3CH2CH2CH3 has more entropy than that of SO2, Due to less molar mass and weak attractions among the molecules of CH3Ch2Ch2Ch3 than that of SO2
