healthy and has just started an exercise and healthy eating plan to try to lose some
weight. (This is her main goal.) She has started taking a moderate intensity, 45-minute
aerobics class three times a week and walks or does yoga (~1 hour each session) on
the other days of the week. She drinks a 20-ounce sports drink (i.e. Gatorade) after
each workout/session.
Answer the following:
a. Is drinking a sports drink beneficial/necessary for Sally? Why or why not?
b. Are there any potential drawbacks to drinking sports drinks in this situation?

sports drink is opted for only when one does exercise for more than 60 minutes or more intense exercise for lesser time. Sally does neither and hence sports drink is not beneficial

Sports drinks are rich in soidum and as sodium levels in the body rise, this leads to muscle and nerve damage.a person may experience feelings of drowsiness as well.
