Question
I am try to separate a mixture using high preformance liquid chromatography (HPLC) however my instrument doesn't have a fraction collector. How can I collect fractions before it goes to waste? Do I start collecting once I see it eluting on the computer screen (at its elution time) ? Or well before or after its elution time? Need to know the best method to use when a fraction collector is not available.
