Explanation / Answer

Please find the answers below:

Answer 1: Subcutaneous emphysema: This is a patho-physiological condition in which a gaseous bubble of air or a gaseous pocket is trapped below the skin in response to a stress/stimulus. This condition can give rise to sensation of painon touch and can rise upto the neck and face as well.

Answer 2: When the mid-thigh has been damaged, it is very likely that a huge volume of blood might be lost from the damage. Under such conditions, the primary important point to take care is to prevent loss of blood so that the blood pressure might be regulated. Elevating the leg upwards and then putting a pressure dressing will help the patient in this regard. Thus choice 1 is correct.

Answer 3: Since the patient has suffered from an impact on the face directly, she might be suffereing from any internal damage as well. Thus, in order to avoid any internal injury, using a bag-valve mask or BVM will be advisable. Thus, choice 3 is correct.
