I am writing about Pediasure which is highly advertised for helping kids gain weight that have issues with being underweight. Studies show that 3.5% of U. S children ranging from 2 to 19 years of age are under their normal weight. Being underweight can be signs of different circumstances such as malnutrition, poverty and or not having access to nourished foods. A malnutrition child is affected throughout their life span. Studies show that these kids have a decrease in academic achievement and increased social behaviors. The strength needed to participate in physical activity is altered as they do not have the strive to participate.

The Pediasure is a complete nutritional source desihned for the healthy growth and development of children. The nutritional deficiencies in the early ages of child leads many disorders, some of which lasts for the life time. One of the important symptom of nutrition deficiency is the weigh loss results in significant morbidity. The malnutrition can happen when there is a lack of calories and protein suppliments in the consuming food or if the body cannot utiluze the food eaten due to other illness. The underweight birth and interuterine growth restrictions occurs due to the lack of nutrient suppliments. The special group of people who may tend to have malnitrition includes:
The malnutrition leads to the decrease in the level of white blood cells and this condion increase the chance of external infection due to the lack of immunity. Once infection occurs it will take much time to recover even if there is a small wound. The children with malnutrition show very slow behavioral and intellectual disabilities.
