Explanation / Answer
Let us check the role of following ingredients in detergent
a) CFAS : Sodium Coco. Fatty Alcohol Sulfate: it is used as surfactant. They act as non ionic emulsifier and also thickner agent
b) LABS: It is Linear alkyl benzene sulfonate and used as an anionic surfactant.
In PDA it is absent which is although necessary in a given detergent
c) STPP: sodium tripolyphosphate: It is used as builider for removal to dications from the dirt. It is used as water softner, STPP is absent in other two detergents. (PD1 and PD2). It is very low toxic as well. It is infact used in some food reagents. It does not produce the precipitate with dirt.
d) Sodium carbonate and sodium sulphate: used as softner. However these should be less used as compated to STPP as they form insoluble complex with metal ions which sometimes get clinged to the clothes it self and hence difficult to remove.
So overall PD3 is better to be used as detergent
