I believe the gel was misread and the sequence is wrong on Chegg. I understand if you read it from bottom to top and then reverse complementary the strand it would you the answer. The same is true if you read it from top to bottom but write the complementary base as you go you will get the same answer. As you can see in the above image the last base on the gel on the bottom is a T indicating the last letter of the 5' to 3' DNA sequence should be A but the sequence instead ends with G.
That is the best pic I could find, that pic is better than i have on paper.
