IRES is an internal ribosome entry site which can be helpful for the translation usually for the protein systhesis which takes place at the 5' end and the protein complex used during this translation is eIF4E protein.

As soon as the genome enters the host cell it results into the injection of the viral genatic material into the cell and whatever the DNA or RNA will get attached or incorporated into the host cell which leads to the replication of the viral genome
2 Answer:
As soon as the virus shut off the host cell the host cell will lose its original property and the viral genome which enters into the host cell will suppress the property of the host cell and begin to replicate its own property or characteristics in the form of virus.
