It was a separation of the components of a mixture experiment. we used separation, sublimation and evaporation to separate NH4Cl, NaCl and sand. (filtration) to separate the sand from the water NaCl mixture. we first separated the NH4Cl by using a bunsen burner and the NH4Cl evaporated out of the solution. Then we added water to the mixtured and filtered the water out. We put the filter in the oven and weighed the mass of the sand after (we weighed filter paper before by itself as well).Then we boiled the water until all that was left was salt.
