Density = mass/ volume
Lets calculate the density of each sample
Density of sample 1 = 30.98 g /3.5 ml = 8.85 g/ml
Density of sample 2 = 30.21 g/ 3.6 ml = 8.392 g /ml
Density of sample 3 = 39.23 g / 4.5 ml = 8.718 g /ml
Now lets calculate the average density
Averge density = (8.85 + 8.392 + 8.718)/3 = 8.653 g/ml
So the density of metal = 8.653 g/ml
