Question
The equation for gravitational force on a object in Earth’s gravity is Fg=(G)(m)(me) / r2
Fg is the force of gravity – newtons (N) or (Kg)(m) / s2
m & me are mass of the object and earth, respectively – kg
r is the distance between the center of gravity of the object – m
G is the gravitational constant
a) What will be the unit of G
b) Using G, What will be the equation for potential energy, U measured in Joules (J) or N-m
( i am done with letter" a" but letter 'b" i dont know how to find the equation) Can someone help me .. Thank You ...
Explanation / Answer
Potential energy equation is:
P = weitgh * height
In this case you can conver weight into mass * gravity so the equation will be:
P = mass * gravity * height
