1. The figures in this paper each correspond to the results from entirely different experiments, asking entirely different questions. For both figures, explain WHY the experiment was performed, and how the results answered the experimenters' question. – Note: I'm asking about the experiments performed, not the figures themselves.

2) What are the implications of this research? What specific applications would this have in the lab and in clinical settings?
3) Describe an experiment of your design to build upon what was found in this study (make sure it is clearly related to the specific findings in this article! You will lose points if it is not closely related to the topic at hand!).
4) Propose two changes you would have made to the experiments described in the article to strengthen THIS publication (these should be realistic changes to the research described, not an entirely different experiments – use that for question #3!)

Results show that doxycycline levels were not statistically different between the two groups. Circulating anti-WSP antibody titres were markedly lower in both treatment groups when compared to control D immitis infected dogs, indicating that Dirofilaria immitis doxycycl e is able to reduce Wolbachia and prevent the immune response against the Doxycycline bacteria. The combination treatment protocol has been shown to be highly adulticidal and vermectin further studies are needed to better understand the interaction between doxycycline and ermectin in D immitis infected dogs. 2015 Elsevier BV. 1)a) Results from previous studies have shown that the ivermectin-doxtcycline combination traetment is lethal to the adult worms of Dirofilaria immitis. So, the experiment was conducted to know if the adulticide effect of the combination treatment is due to difference in tissue/worm distribution of doxycycline. The serum levels of doxycycline in dogs treated with ivermectin-doxycycline combination alone and doxycycline alone are compared in figure 1.
b) The experiment was done to know the effect of treatment with ivermectin-doxycycline combination and doxycycline alone regimen in dogs infected by Difilaria immitis. The results show that dogs of both ivermectin-doxycycline combination group and doxycycline only group shows significantly lower level of antibodies when compared with control group. This is represented in figure 2.
