It is important that the nursing studies be integrated with consumerism and appropriate patient care. Patient care should be one of the major areas that require to be given attention on. Post hospitalisation care should be a part of the curriculum. Patient read mission rates which seem to be higher in the prevaling statistical analysis should be attempted to be lowered by extending the health care to out of hospital. Such studies are required to be implemented in the curriculum so as to benefit the society in totality.
