The older drivers are distracted more easily than younger drivers, which could be due to their vision problems. Computerised testings provided such evidence.Decrease in cognitive functioning i.e the ability to reason and remember, as well as physical changes, usually affect some older adults’ driving abilities (Owsley et al, 2004).Older drivers could also be less flexible, which could be another cause.

Some also believe that older drivers have some distrating agents in the vehicle itself like listenig to music, use of cell phones and eating in the car.
