Well when we talk about population in ecology, we get to know that a population us defined as any group of the organisms of the same species occypying a particular area and functioning as part of biotic community. Or we can also say that the members of a species living in groups in a well defined area, share or compete for the same resources, potentially interbreed constitute a population.
But from the above statements given above regarding the Population; statement 4 is correct i.e. they must be able to interbreed.
However statement 1 is nearly correct but it should include all the members including humans, bacteria, fungi, animals, plants etc.
