Question

If I have a water filter that will filter 100,000 gallons of water before it stops working how many years will it last if I filter 2 liters a day through it everyday?

100,000 Gallons = 378541.18 Liters

so to me 378541.18 Liters divided by 2-L would be the number of times that I could use the filter.

Then divide that by the number of days in a year and it comes out to be around 518 years.

That just seems like a really long time to me.

I would like to know how you came up with the answer if I am wrong.
