Question
please help me solve this with steps
You must show all your work, including units, and report final results with the correct number of significant figures on all pre-lab questions, post-lab questions, and laboratory report work (this reminder will not be repeated).
You should have five questions on this pre-lab assignment.
Question number 1.
Perform the following calculation and report the answer to the correct number of significant figures (assume all quantities are measured):
8.9 + 8.133 + 15.73
Question number 2.
Assuming all numbers come from measurements, perform the following calculation and report the answer to the correct number of significant figures
2.252 x 8.7 x (2.97x107)
Question number 3.
Perform the following calculation and report the answer to the correct number of significant figures (assume all quantities are measured):
(4.9 - 14.6) x 3.358
Question number 4.
Calculate the number of meters that are in 702.3 inches. Use 2.54 cm = 1 in and show your work.
Question number 5.
If you have 6.4 L of water, how many cm3 of water do you have
Explanation / Answer
1). Given that 8.9 + 8.133 +15.73
The answer for this question is as follows..
8.9 + 8.133 +15.72 = 32.753....
2). Given that 2.252 x 8.7 x (2.97 x 10^7)
the answer for this is as follows..
2.252 x 8.7 x (2.97 x 10^7) = 2.252 x 25.839 x 10^7 = 58.189428 x 10^7
so, the answer is 58.189428 x 10^7 or 581894280.....
3). Given that (4.9 - 14.6) x 3.358
the answer is as follows..
(4.9 -14.6) x 3.358 = -9.7 x 3.358 = -32.5726...
the answer is -32.5726....
4). given that 702.3 inches, we have to convert it into meters...
also given that 1 inche = 2.54cm....
then 702.3 inches = ?cm
thus 702.3 x 2.54 = 1783.842 cm......
but 100cm = 1 meter
then 1783.842 cm = ? meters...
thus, 1783.842 x1 /100 = 17.83842meters..
thus, 702.3 inches = 17.83842 meters....
5). given 6.4L of water..
we have to convert the liters into cm3...
one liter = 1000cubic centimeters
then 6.4L = ?cm3
thus, 6.4 x 1000 = 6400cm3..
thus, 6.4L = 6400cm3....
