Question
It's asking for pressure head, elevation head, and hydraulic head. I'm having trouble understanding the conceptual difference between each. If someone could draw a schematic that would be very helpful!
1.) Water level measurements are collected in two piezometers located next to one another in a well cluster and presented below. Determine a) the pressure, elevation and, hydraulic head for both piezometers, and b) the vertical flow direction and gradient. Top of Casing Depth to Depth to Piezometer Elev.(ft) Screen (ft) Water (ft) 50.0 20.0 16.0 50.0200 20.0 48.0Explanation / Answer
For the particular case, the difference among the pressure head, elevation head and hydraulic head is on the basis of the rate of change of their respective property with the length . It will a sense of term head but in real scenario it concludes with the gradient of all different physical properties in its aspect.
Elevation head is 2
Pressure is 30
Hydraulic is 4 here.
