B. Performing field tests

Taking into consideration what you know about water quality and topographic maps, you will conduct field tests of the 12 sites. if we consider the dotted path in the map as circle. Then we can find the radius of circle by seeing the scale given in miles considering the mid point of this circular path as center of circle. Then circumference of circle = 2 *3.14 *0.5( radius)=3.14 miles approximately 3.2 miles

the highest elevation we encounter at is 1020 adjacent to the Maverick Plateau where as the lowest elevation is at site 4 approximately 760. Therefore local relief= highest elevation- lowest elevation

=1020-760=260

We will move in clockwise direction so that we can quickly collect the samples. We will start our sample collection from site 12 then moving towards collecting samples from site 8,site 10, site 9, site 11, site 1 to site 5,6,7and ultimately site 4.

we will collect sample first from site 5 and 6 and then perform additional field testing upstream from site 6.
