and also this " What is the function of the sodium chloride in the indicator solution ".

As for the Agar solution " To generate the ferroxyl indicator solution, add about 10 drops of 0.1 M potassium ferricyanide solution, 1 mL of 4 M sodium chloride, NaCI, and 10 drops of 0.1% phenolphthalein indicator.
