b. At the start: low insulin, high glucagon. At the end: high insulin, low glucagon

c. At the start: high insulin, high glucagon. At the end: low insulin, low glucagon

d. At the start: high insulin, low glucagon. At the end: low insulin, high glucagon

e. There is not enough information to make an educated guess.

250 O 200 9 Diabetic subject g 150 C 100 Normal subject 50 2 Time after oral glucose (hr) Fasting plasma glucose concentration 6

Explanation / Answer

At end there should be high insulin for normal human without any systmematic problem as glucose level is come down. so option 1 or 2 would be answer . now if high glucagon at start there should be high glucose therfore. but it is normal side i feel. But in option 1 at end it can not be high glucogon and option 2 it can not be high glucagon at start. i will go for option e which says we do not have enough information to make any guess.
