Question
Free radicals are important in many environmentally significant reactions. For example, photochemical smog, which forms as a result of the actions of sunlight on air pollutants, is formed in part by the following two steps.
NO2 ---UV Light--> NO + O
O + O2 --> O3
The product of this reaction, ozone, is a pollutant in the lower atmosphere. Ozone is an eye and lung irritant and also accelerates the weathering of rubber products. write Lewis strucktures of each of the reactants and products in the preceding reactions
If possible I would like a detailed description with an answer so I can try to understand how it was worked and practice using it as a reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have another question that I need to post a picture with but I cant seem to get it to let me. its 36.8 kb and a j peg photo, is there a good way of doing this?
Sorry long question but I really would apretiate any help Im so dang confused

Explanation / Answer
Free radical are formed when bonds are broken homogenously i.e. each atom will take its shared electron. For free radical to form, energy is required which is provided by the sunlight, hence NO2 breaks to form O radical and NO radical. The oxygen radical being unstable because of incomplete octet immediately reats with the O2 molecules to form Ozone molecule.
