Ans 74 : Bond dissociation energy is the amount of energy required to break one mole of bonds of a compound.
The CO2 molecule has two C=O bonds.
The bond energy of one C=O is 799 KJ/mol
So for two bonds in one mole molecule will be 799 x 2 = 1598 KJ / mol
So the change in enthalpy of 1.1 mol CO2 will be 1.1 x 1598
= 1757.8 KJ
