It would be benefial to understnad the evlution origin and natural selction of disease causig organism, this is based on fact that evolution of theraeutic or medicine are based on the knowledge of acts on fitness, not health or longevity; and one of evolutionary history does not cause disease. Most important thing to look for the impacts on risk due to disease in particular environments in which we are now and compared to those in which we evolved.

According to research the energy consumed by walking on four legs was much more when compare to those who walks on upright, and this study was done with trained five chimps to walk both upright and another all fours on a treadmill. This was a fact our ancient ancestors took advantage of such evolution over other apes by reducing the costs of foraging for food.
However walking upright we lost the capability to climb up on the treess or hight and need a lots of energy to do so.
