a. How are people affected by conflict within their country or in a war with other countries? What are common negative health outcomes for people whose lives are disrupted by conflict? How does this affect other countries not directly involved in the conflict?

b. Find a country in the Middle East, Africa, Asia or Central America that has been involved in a conflict (either internal civil war or cross-border conflict) within the last 10 years and describe the effects on its health system. If the conflict has ended or subsided, how are the leaders trying to rebuild the health system?

Explanation / Answer

When there is a conflict within a country or with other countries, the overall effect is negative and there is always harm to the economic weath of the countries and the health of the people of the countries. As in any conflict the impact falls on the natural resources, and hence directly of indirectly it ffect the health of the people. Due to wars etc, people lose their home, money etc. Due to which they faces problems like infection of disease in open , malnutrition due to lack of food or reach to food. They cant afford the medical facility, so they suffer a lot in any conflict.

Common negative health outcomes are:

Infectious diseases like flu etc. become endmic.

Malnutrition

HIV/AIDS

Tuberculosisetc.

Survivors face challenges including lack of adequate shelter, decreased access to health services, food insecurity, loss of livelihoods, social marginalisation as well as economic and sexual exploitation.

This also affects the other countries which do not involved directly in the conflict as, people when migrate to these countries carry the infection to thoise countries too.

Secondly to help the affected countries they have to ut off their expenses, as well as they can also become the part of conflict due to helping the affected countries.

b. In middle east countries like Iraq, palestine, they are suffering from such conflicts from last many decades.

Impacts on health system

these countries are the main centre where HIV is most common.People are suffering from food insecurity and lack of medical aids.

If the conflicts ended, these countries still cant recover completely because of the lack of proper steps taken by the government.Government tries to provide Effective human resource management which includes propersupply, distribution, and performance in order to rebuild the health system of the country.However it is very difficult in poor countries but can recover a lot.
