The glycine hydrochloride is a diprotic acid is in thefollowing form -                                             HOOC-CH2-NH3+ Here the pKa of -COOH is 2.3 and pKa of-NH3+ is 9.7. Greater pKa indicates the loweracidity of the -NH3+ . Hence when we cantitrate with NaOH, the proton comes from -COOH, hence we can usethe pKa value 2.3 in Henderson Hasslebach equation.
