Question
Greetings,I would like an explanation to why HCl conducts an electriccurrent? Is it because it is very electronegative (and very closeto florine on the periodic table)? And a halogen? And or is thereanother reason? Sometimes I get answers right for the wrong reasons(conceptually), so I was wondering because I thought only metalsconduct electrical currents---> like the alkali and alkalineearth metal groups I & II. And transition metals.
Thanks for someone who can break it down conceptually. I will ratefor sure.
