Explanation / Answer

If by chart, you mean the periodic table, then atoms with 2 valenceelectrons are in Group 2. Atoms with 5 valence electrons arein Group 15. Atoms with 3 valence electrons are in Group13. If you look at the periodic table, you will see two tallcolumns on the left, ten short columns in the middle, and six tallcolumns on the right. Those short columns in the middle arecalled the transition metals and have their own rules fordetermining valence electrons. The remaining eight columnsare Groups 1, 2, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 from left toright. When trying to find valence electrons, just look atthe group number. Atoms in group 1 have 1 valence electron, atoms in group 2 have 2 valence electrons, atoms in group 13 havethree valence electrons, atoms in group 14 have 4 valenceelectrons, atoms in group 15 have five valence electrons, atoms ingroup 16 have 6 valence electrons, atoms in group 17 have 7 valenceelectrons, and atoms in group 18 have 8 valence electrons. Hope this helps.
