Question

Benzyl alcohol has a boiling point of 205 *C. It hassolubility characteristics that would seem to make it a good choicefor use as a recrystallization solvent for fluorenol (m.p.153-155*C), but in fact benzyl alcohol is a poor choice of solventfor this recrystallization. Why do you think this is? (Hint: you donot neeed any other information to answer this question) I'm just a little stuck here, I believe the answer to bebecuase the fluorenol melts and becomes a liquid, andrecrystalization is for the purification of solids not liquids (?)Any help is much appreciated.
