My questions are a) Am I to assume that there would beparentheses around the multiplication step, therefore making thisan addition problem? b) Can you confirm that the significantfigures of each number are 4, 3, and 5 respectively? c) Thequantity with the fewest decimal places then has 3 decimal places,meaning my answer should as well? d) Would the answer, inscientific notation, then be 3.477 x 10*3 (ten to the third)?Help!

Sonow it will look like (5897 x 0.589) + 4.5850 b)   For 5897 - significant numbers -4       For 0.589 - significantnumbers - 3     For 4.5850 - significant numbers -5 c) First bracket should be operated. As it ismultiplication, result should contain significant numbers equal tothe number with fewest significant figures. later addition is performed. During the addition decimalplaces are considered. Basing on that three decimal places arepresent in the answer. d) yes , answer is in scientific notation which i equal to3.477 x 103
