Question

The decomposition of Pb(NO3)2 produces PbO, NO2, O2 with a79.0 % yield. If a 7.90-g sample of Pb(NO3)2 is heated, what massof PbO is actually produced? I was also given the following equation with this problemmaybe it might help. I need the answer in grams please.Thankyou 2Pb(NO3)2    yields ( with the word heatabove it) 2PbO + 4NO2 + O2 The decomposition of Pb(NO3)2 produces PbO, NO2, O2 with a79.0 % yield. Explanation / Answer

first you find how many moles of PbNO32 you have
7.9 / MW
then you have that many moles of PbO
then you multiply that by the PbO MW
then multiply by .79 since thats teh percent yield.
you can plug in the numbers yourself
