The best way to do these is to look at the oxidation states of eachelement or compound and swap them to place them subscripts. Examples: c - Mg2+ and OH1- ,(Magnesium is in group 2, so it's oxidation state is 2+. Hydroxide you can find it in a table to be 1-) so you swap thecharges and apply them to subscripts-->Mg(OH)2.
