Explanation / Answer
Hi,
Below is the solution to your question:
Answer:
Advantages of using codes with the firm:
1.Alphabet code 2.Significant code.
1.Alphabetic codes: Since the company DotCom accepts the orders through mail and telephone they need to maintain a database containing all users information like name, address, telephone number, email address,Address of delivery.
While storing the address of the customer we can use the Alphabetic codes to save the state name such as NY for New York or OR AL for Alaska etc(These codes are specifically called Abbreviation codes),This can be used to easily identify the state name rather than taking the entire state name
2.Significant code:While saving the sutomer code we need to save the pincode in order to do that we can use the significant codes in the database that if the user is from a particular place we can easily identify his zip code, this thus saves a lot of space and time while data retrival from the database.
I hope that solves your problem.HAPPY ANSWERING!!!!!!!!!
