Question

Dropdown Menu of Value Measures in a Pivot Chart

I am not sure if this is posiible, but I thought that I'd ask anway. I have a pivot table that has several value measures. See below:

My goal is to have a dropdown below the pivot that allows a selection of a measure. (Allowed, Allowed, % of Eligible, Days, or Allowed Per Day)

I then would like a bar graph created based on the dropdown selection. In other words, if someone selected 'Allowed per day', a graph would be created with the States as the X axis and Allowed per day as the Y axis.

I don't want the pivot to be filtered based on the dropdown selection, only the graph..

Is this even possible??

Thanks !!

States Eligible Allowed Allowed % of Eligible Days Allowed Per Day California $6,845,454 $6,565,656 95.91 % 5,678 $1,156 New York $5,742,619 $1,934,022 33.68 % 2,468 $784 Nevada $228,471,997 $90,735,724 39.71 % 1,574 $57,647 Iowa $62,634,454 $1,956,474 3.12 % 845 $2,315 Florida $250,000,000 $175,000,000 70.00 % 4,545 $38,504

Explanation / Answer

Hi..

This is possible to accomplish with the help of the PowerPivot. Take the data to the PowerPivot window and from there you can create a Pivot chart first and then a Pivot Table. Each will have its own field list...

Hope this helps !
