I need to make a php file that adds the selections and makes a reciept showing the user what they input for example if the user says they are buying 2 gizmos @ 2 dollars a piece how would i make the php give that back to the html
2) The name value from the input tag is the index you use for the $_POST array to get the value for that form data.
3) You need to get each individual piece of form data and then use it. For instance, for the total quantity, get the three individual quantities and then add them together.
4) You can make whatever variables you want to hold intermediate calculations you need and then use them later.
Relevant calculations:
Total quantity is the sum of all three quantities.
Subtotal is first quantity times first price plus second quantity times second price plus third quantity times third price.
Tax charged is subtotal times tax rate divided by 100.
Order total is subtotal plus tax charged.
