We haven't covered this yet because the lectures are 3 week behind the lab series. I want to be prepared for the next lab and understand.Any help would be greatly appreciated. In the prelab question is basically, In the following Kenetics reaction ( 2MnO4^-(aq) + 5C3H7OH(aq) + 6H3O^+(aq) --> 2Mn^2+(aq) =5C3H6O(a) + 14H2O ) determine the rate law for reactions of interest. State which concentrations will be held constant and which will vary between the different trials of the experiment. This is an oxidation of 2-propanol by permanganate.
Explanation / Answer
Here for different trials
we will be getting different concentration of permagnate for different concentration of 2-propanol.
As for diiferent amount of 2-propanol, differnt amount of permagnate is required.
