Search Chegg. Study TEXTBOOK SOLUTIONS EXPERT Refer to the titration curve found in question 1 of the Pre-Laboratory Questions in your dissolved in 20.0 ml of distilled waber. The titration curve your lab manual for the balanced equation for the reaction. Determine the number of moles of KHP in the solution lab notebook. 1802 grams of KHP is given is for the ttration of the KHP solution with NaOH. See Eq S in 368.0 mol KHP 8.823 mol KHP 0.008823 mol KHP 0.368 mol KHP Question 2 S pts NaOH required to neutralze the KHP Given the same information as in question 1 above, determine the number of moles of Given the same information as in question 1 above, determine the number of moles of NaOH required to neutralize the 0008823 mol NaOH 0.368 mol NaOH 368.0 mol NaOH 0.0:65 mol NaChH

Explanation / Answer

For question 1 the statement says you have 1.802 grams of KHP and you want to determine the number of moles, to do this you need to get the value of the molar mass for KHP

Im getting from internet a value of 204.2 g/gmol for KHP or Potassium Hydrogen Phthalate.

so moles = mass / molar mass

moles = 1.802 / 204.2 = 0.008824 mol of KHP in the solution

2. The reaction of neutralization between NaOH and KHP is as follows:

KHP + NaOH ==== KNaP + H2O

as you can see this is a 1:1 reaction 1 mole of NaOH needs 1 mole of KHP to react completely so, the number of moles of NaOH you need to titrate the KHP is 0.00824 moles of NaOH

3. the statement says to consider the volume provided in question 1, the volume will be 20 ml or 20/1000 = 0.02 L, formula of molarity is moles / volume so if you take the number of NaOH moles into a volume of 20 ml you will get

M = 0.008824 / 0.02 = 0.441 M

4. To solve this question please specifiy the concentration of the vinegar acid or provide more backgroun about the experiment the statement says.
