Compound H2C204 HCO2H HOCI HCI 5.9x10-2 1.8x104 3.5x108 2.0x106 Silver (I) nitrate reacts with potassium chloride. Write a balanced equation then write the ionic and net ionic equations 11)

Explanation / Answer

Ans 9 :

In an acid/base reaction , the acid molecule loses its proton ,and the base molecule accepts a proton.

Since here the acid H2SO4 has readily dissociated itself into H+ and HSO4- ions , it can be considered as dissociation reaction and not acid/base reaction.

The H2SO4 acid has a very low pka value , which means it is a strong acid.
