The conductivity of the water is dependent on the amount of ions present in it , as the ions help in conduction of electric current.
Since the deionized water lacks ions in it , it is unable to conduct electric current , hence it has very low conductivity.
Whereas the tap water has many ions into it , the reason it has good conductivity.
