Question
identity of compound and exact molecular formula please.
I know the first dip in the graph means sp3 hybridized C-H bonds and at 1700 is C=O double bond.
I'm confused with the second graph if the molecular ion is at 97, 98, or 99. I think it means 98 with m+1 which I think means subtract 14 from 98 for the nitrogen?
84/12=7 so no hydrogens which doesn't work so do I subtract a C and get C6H12 then subtract a methane and add an O to get C5H8O or am I just way off base?

2850-2950 cm-1 peaks for sp3 -C-H stretch
Mass
M+ 98
loss of -CHO group gives m/z 69
loss of -CH2 gives m/z 55
loss of -CH2 gives m/z 41
loss of -CH2 gives m/z 27
So the compound would be
C6H10O
CH2=CH-CH2-CH2-CH2-CHO
