In Haiti most of the population is in poverty because of large scale Deforestation. The massive amount of deforestation has led to poverty especially among peasants .

Deforestation has further led to decrease in soil fertility so the people who were dependent on agriculture in Haiti have gone broke and live in poverty.

These people do not have basic necessities and rely heavily on the environment but due to this degradation of environment the people have gone totally broke and are in poverty.

Environmental and ecological stress/inequality may induce violence or political instability.

A lot of species have become endangered including Royal Bengal Tiger which is one of the main attractions of Sunderbans , Bangladesh which has led to violence against the government.

Also cultivation of Jute has decreased which has affected the lives of many peasants thereby aggravating politiccal instability.

Also Fishes which are caught for local consumption are being marketed to US and other European countries which has affected the lives of fishermen as they are not paid what they deserve. This has caused violence against the political party.

3.

Appropriate government and community efforts have helped people cope and overcome environmental stress.

In Alexandria the government has taken the responsibility to provide protection against natural calamities and environmental disasters.

The Government also protects the interests of the poor lending them money during tough financial crisis during environmental stress and degradation.

4. As the environmental degradation leads to decrease in resources and money the government of developing countries ask for monetary help from developed countries but are not able to pay the debts which leads to economic problems in developed countries.
