Question
I did solve this but then I still get a wrong answer. please help
Explanation / Answer
Using the ideal gas equation , pV = nRT
where p is pressure in atm = 0.98553 atm
V is volume in L
n is number of moles of gas
R is universal gas constant = 0.0821 l/atm. K
And T is temperature in kelvin = 310 k
putting all the terms in formula
0.98553 x 3 = n x 0.0821 x 310
n = 0.116 moles
Out of these 0.116 moles , 21 % is oxygen
so 21% of 0.116 = 0.024 moles
The answer has to be given in 2 significant figures ( your answer has three) , and there is a slight calculation mistake too.
Hope this helps !!
