Question
Procedure: A. Molarity of NH4Cl olar mass: 53.49 g/mol): Weigh 0.1500 g of NH4Cl on an analytical balance. Carefully transfer weighed NH4C1 into 50 ml beaker and dissolve it 10 ml of distilled water. Using a funnel carefully transfer dissolved NH4Cl into 25.00 ml volumetric flask. Rinse the beaker with 2.0 ml portion of distilled water and transfer it into the volumetric flask. Repeat rinsing at least two more times. Remove the funnel and carefully fill the volumetric flask up to the mark using a disposable dropper. Calculate the molarity of the solution. Measure the pH of the solution using pH paper.Explanation / Answer
A molarity of 0.053 M CuSO4 5H2O (Molar mass 249.72 g/mole)
Weigh 3.309 g of CuSO4 5H2O on an analytical balance. Carefully transfer weighed CuSO4 5H2O into 100 ml beaker and dissolve it 50 mL water.
Using funnel carefully transfer dissolved CuSO4 5H2O into 250.00 mL volumetric flask. Rinse the beaker with 10 mL portion of distilled water and transfer into it . Repeat it for two times.
Remove the funnel and carefully fill the volumetric flask up to the mark using a disposable dropper.
