a) NO2 is an acidic oxide   and BaO is a basic oxide

b) Generally metal oxides are basic oxides and non-metal oxides are acidic in nature.Because metal oxides on treatment with water, they produce alkalies i.e. basic solutions, whereas non-metal oxides produce acidic solutions.

So, NO2 is an acidic oxide   and BaO is a basic oxide
