(II) Answer is (A) Non-polar organic (hexane)

The lipids are insoluble in polar solvents like water but lipids are highly soluble in the non-polar organic solvents, for example soluble in ether, chloroform, benzene, and acetone. These non-polar solvents are also called as "lipid-solvents".

(III) Answer is (D) Nine

There are nine essential amino acids which cannot be made by human body and come from the food we eat. The essential acids are histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, valine and tryptophan.

(IV) Given 1 g of fat furnishes 9kcal

So, 38 g of fat will furnish (9 Kcal x 38 g)/1g = 342 kcal..................(1)

Total calorie = 780 kcal

% of total calorie from fat= (342 kcal/780 kcal) x 100 = 43.86%
