1. The complex modification of flagella with time exlains the evolution of complex structures like eye. Complex structures like eye are evolved from simple structures or proteins based on the their use during the course of evolution. In prokaryotes photosensetive receptors are present which are sensitive to light. photorecptor cell is the basic light processing unit of the eye. It contains two types of molecules called opsin and chromophore. opsin is sensitive to light and the other pigment chromophore function is distinguishing the colours.

2. Reason for the phenotypic differences between individuals of the same species is during development mutations occurs causing infrequent genetic differences and variation in gene copy number. During meiosis gene exchange occurs which is also a reason for phenotypic differences.

Genetic recombination is the genetic process in which offsprings are produced from the parents in which combination of traits of offsprings are different from those of the parents. Genetic recombination in eukaryotes occur during meiosis.
